Hi各位好~

小弟今天總算考完托福了,照先前兩位強者的慣例,分享一些考試內容~

由於小弟短期記憶能力不很強,比較接近真題的可能只有Speaking 的3~6題,其他就加減看啦~

另外英文方面可能有些文法錯誤，請各位多多包涵~^^

Nazca Line (這題我考試的時候發散了orz , 以下參考ptt版友回報)

文章觀點 : 1.當作星象儀

                2.紀念碑

                3.賽跑跑道

演講者反駁:

1.Nazca Line並沒有符合星象圖 只有少數幾條有符合 但是這是機率性符合而已

2.Nazca Line雖然很大 但是很平坦 以紀念碑來說不夠注目跟讓人印象深刻,他舉了復活島的艾磨像 要讓人印象深刻要夠大 夠高 夠明顯

3. 原文推論是在於有許多人的足跡活動 但是演講者指出 這邊找的的足跡太多 並且難以分辨是動物還是人類的

Speaking

1. Describe a famous person you admire the most.

2. 學校是否要贊助entertainments, like movie and concert,還是只花錢在 academic study.

3. Reading: 期末考試改成presentation,兩人一組,口頭報告,目的是希望同學訓練團隊合作,同時learn from others.

Listening: Female student disagrees.

Reason:

1. 舉室友的例子. 她室友上次期末報告時,partner從頭到尾都沒出現也不幫忙,害她室友一個人作兩人份的報告,最後報告的成績也不很好.

2. 期末考的時候大家都在唸書準備考試,沒有人有心思跟時間出來討論報告.教授原先希望大家互相學習的美意,可能反而會使教授get frustrated.

4. “Primacy Effect” (先入為主效應)

Reading: 大多人會專注在第一印象 並且往後會依此為根據來觀察人的行為

Listening: (Example from professor)

He got a job at research laboratory. At the first week, he found out some probable ways to improve the experiment, and it really works. So his boss thought he is a good researcher. Although he had make some mistakes in the following weeks, his boss still praise him in front of others.

But his co-worker is does not has the same luck as him. She made some big mistakes and lost the experimental data at the first week. Although the lab got the data back, it still cost a lot of time and money. So the boss thought that she is unreliable. Although she was doing well in the following weeks, even better than the professor, the boss still thought she was unreliable.

 

5. Female student will stay in school to do research during school break, but dormitory will be closed.

The male student’s suggestion:

1. Stay in her friend’s houses during the breaks.

Pros: save money

Cons: because her friends are in vacation, they may have different life schedule. (生活作息時間會不一樣)

2. Ask for special permission to stay in the dormitory

Cons: she has to move to another dormitory, because only some dormitory will keep open. Also, she has to spend more money.

Pros: the environment is quiet.

 

6. The reason why “play” will be beneficial to children (小孩玩遊戲對他們有益的原因)

1. Get the feeling of being in control.

Children depend most of their daily things on their parents, like what to eat and what to wear. It will cause anxious feeling. While the children play with toys, they can build their own world, and decide how to play and choose what the toys they want.

2. Safer way to express the action of destructive

If children destroy something in the house, their parents will get annoyed.

It is safer when children destroy something in the play.

So you can see children just use toy to build a tower, and destroy it.
